These reimagined covers for one of my favorite books of all time, Slaughterhouse-Five, draw on themes present in the story: the firebombing of Dresden in WWII’s deteriorating effect on the main character’s psyche and how his subsequent claimed abduction by a flying saucer provides him a coping mechanism as he navigates the darkness of his severe PTSD.
